Next generation scanning with the new multifunctional Konica Minolta bizhub C652DS

KPS and Konica Minolta introduce its new multifunctional colour product, the bizhub C652DS, with superior scanning capabilities. With a duplex scanner and an impressive scanning speed of up to 156 images per minute (ipm), the device is the ideal professional document archiving solution for CRDs, large workgroups and busy departments. Furthermore, the bizhub 652DS offers printing, copying and faxing in colour as well as in black-and-white with high quality and reliability, thus perfectly serving as a central communication device for offices.

The standard bizhub C452 as well as the C552 and C652, which were both decorated as "2009 BERTL?s best productive colour printer", reach high scan speeds of up to 78 ipm. They also support various file formats and scan-to functionalities. Such focuses have made duplex printing an increasingly important feature and has also spurred demand for duplex scanning.

The new bizhub C652DS supports the intelligent Dual Scan technology that simultaneously scans both sides of a duplex original as a standard and thereby delivers a scan speed of up to 156 monochrome or colour ipm (78 duplex printed pages). Dual Scan means a major facilitation in large workgroups? and CRDs? daily routine.

In addition, the bizhub C652DS offers enhanced productivity for capturing paper based documents to easily integrate them into existing workflows. The MFP includes several applications that originate from Konica Minolta?s bizhub Extended Solution Technology (bEST) open software development platform.

For example, the end-to-end solution Open Bee Scan Viewer allows users to turn their unsorted stored paper into a fully searchable digital database with access for numerous colleagues. The recently awarded eCopy ShareScan application makes scanned documents directly available in most of today?s document management systems and includes document distribution as well as document creation, capturing and editing functions. Also the latest version of Document Navigator offers several integration options for various existing document management systems. Furthermore, this application recognises barcodes and forms offering users high level processing of captured documents.
